If the Client Details section is opening to a screen you don't want it to, please follow these steps:
Open the Client Details screen
Select a Client
Open the Client Details Layout customisation form by clicking the "Customise Client Details layout" button (between the Letters and Save buttons)
Select the Client Details tab, (or the one you want it to open on)
Close the customisation form.
That action will save the Layout file and also the context in which it was saved.
Each future loading of the Client Details will then open on your selected Tab
